ABOUT CHANTILLY ACADEMY GYMNASTICS
1989-2008 - 19 Years of Gymnastics Excellence
A member club of USA Gymnastics, the governing body for youth gymnastics
in the United States, Chantilly Academy Gymnastics and Preschool was established
by Margie and Jerry Cunningham in August of 1989. CA began based on an
existing gym and preschool located here since 1986 that had 150 recreational
students, 50 preschoolers, 8 trainers, and 20 team gymnasts. Currently,
CA is home to over 1600 families in the all the programs offered and continues
to reach new children every day. As a family business, two of Margie's
siblings manage and direct all programs, events, and activities at CA.
Anne Foster is CA's Facility Director/Manager and Mary Foster-Thompson is CA's Director of Office Operations. Their shared belief, one they were raised with
and instill in all their staff members, is in providing all children with
challenging movement opportunities which enhance the development of self-confidence
and self esteem, the main philosophy throughout all of CA's programs.
OUR MISSION
Our goal is to provide quality movement and gymnastics instruction which
creates a strong foundation of physical and cognitive building blocks
onto which further sports fitness and intellectual activities can be achieved
with success.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
To teach gymnastics in a step-by-step approach using positive reinforcement
to enhance a child's self-confidence and self-esteem.
